About the job: Ready to come to the USA? Join Don Julio Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar in Orlando, Florida. Don Julio, an authentic Mexican restaurant with recipes passed down through three generations, is searching for passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, and proactive aspiring chefs worldwide to bring the flavors of Mexico to life while living a once-in-a-lifetime professional and cultural experience in the United States.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
* Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the restaurant.
* Restocking all items as needed throughout the shift.
* Cleaning and maintaining station while practicing safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
* Understanding and maintaining all station equipment properly.
* Assisting with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen.
* Performing additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Kitchen Manager.
* Preparing various food items including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and cold food items.
* Properly storing all food preparation items.
* Using food preparation tools following manufacturer instructions.
* Closing the kitchen following the station's protocol.
Estimated Monthly Budget:
* Projected income: $2,240 (Hourly wage: $14)
* Projected costs for housing and transportation: $900 (Housing options provided for $700)
* Meals during working hours included
J1 Visa Program:
This traineeship is part of a J1 visa program for young professionals or recent graduates to gain work experience and cultural exchange. The total application fee is $1,870, broken down as follows:
* $420 due upon signing (non-refundable)
* $1,450 due upon visa approval (includes health insurance)
Additional notes: The first month's housing must be paid in advance. Airfare costs are not covered and vary by departure city.

About you:
To be eligible for a J1 Visa, you must:
* Be between 18-35 years old
* Have graduated from an accredited institution with relevant degree and at least 12 months of professional experience, OR have at least 5 years of work experience in the field
