Our team seeks an experienced Principal Technical Sales & Consulting Specialist to join our Professional Services and Consulting Services team. This role offers a high-impact opportunity to consult with agency customers on product upgrades, implementation, and technology integrations, while driving strategic direction for a leading global travel technology company.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Map customer needs to Sabre solutions, creating differentiated value and identifying opportunities for value exchange.
* Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops to showcase Sabre products and APIs aligned with customer requirements.
* Act as the voice of the customer by collaborating internally with sales and product teams to propose solution changes that enhance efficiency or adoption.
* Manage end-to-end technical integration consulting processes, engaging experts within Sabre as needed. Provide support on structuring Web-Service payloads in XML during new customer integrations.
* Advocate for customers by resolving complex technical issues impacting implementation, operation, and utilization of Sabre products. Offer best practice consulting to maximize solution benefits.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
* Deep understanding of the travel industry, including challenges related to content fragmentation, content types, and distribution models.
* Strong leadership in consultative or collaborative settings with customers and internal teams to achieve technical and business goals.
* Ability to consider cost, financial, and budget impacts when recommending solutions, ensuring optimal customer outcomes.
* Excellent communication skills and assertiveness to confidently advise high-level decision makers on technical solutions and operational processes.
* Innovative thinking with the ability to approach situations from multiple perspectives. Effective communication across diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
* Proven technical experience in customer-facing roles focused on solutions in an eCommerce environment, preferably with knowledge of GDS and travel APIs.
* Hands-on experience with GDS products and APIs, including tools like Soap or Postman.
* Technical skills for system analysis, development, and integration within customer tech stacks. Familiarity with SOA, Web Services, SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, and Web Scripting languages.
* Previous development experience is a plus.
* Native language and cultural familiarity are preferred.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
