We are creating a Financial & Insurance team in Spain and are sourcing a Senior Accountant and Finance expert to lead this new project.

As a Senior Accountant and Finance expert, your main responsibilities will include:
* Serving as the Spanish S.P.O.C. for Consolidated Financial Statements, liaising with KPMG auditors, tax consultants, and managing tax audits.
* Acting as the Finance S.P.O.C. for the Spanish branch RCTO, focusing on budgeting, planning, and control.
* HR cost controlling.
* Overseeing all local accounting operations for both IFRS and Spanish GAAP:
Reviewing and approving payment requests.
* Maintaining the branch’s accounting tools according to evolving local regulations, with regular alignments with peers in Generali Spain.
* Ensuring local accounting processes comply with GFRR & DQ principles, and collecting evidence for key controls tested by GHO audit.
* Managing finance projects impacting the Spanish branch (e.g., electronic invoicing).
As a Senior Accountant and Finance expert, your skills and qualifications should ideally include:
* At least 8 years of relevant experience.
* B2 level English, spoken and written.
* ERP proficiency, ideally in SAP and Tagetik.
* Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
* Coaching and mentoring experience and capabilities.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* A logical, methodical, and systematic approach to work.
* Integrity, confidence, and accountability.
* Ability to adapt to evolving techniques and changing business challenges.
