BUNGE has an exciting opportunity available for a Compliance Specialist - Barcelona. In this role, you will provide legal and compliance support regarding economic sanctions, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-boycott and other compliance regulations relevant to the operations and regulation of Bunge’s businesses around the world. While the role’s primary duties will be focused on compliance, there may be occasions where he/she is requested to provide additional support to the Legal Team provided that this does not encroach upon compliance duties.
Some responsibilities of the Compliance Specialist - Barcelona are:
* Conduct counterparty due diligence reviews, including but not limited to fact-gathering, ultimate beneficial ownership research, compliance screenings, sanctions hits and/or other red flags identification and review and other due diligence activities;
* Assist with the development and maintenance of counterparty screenings and maintain appropriate case files and records;
* Assist with Third Party Management Program reviews, including but not limited to reviewing due diligence questionnaires, compliance screening results, subsequently onboarding third parties, maintaining accurate and complete case files;
* Keep current on changes to economic sanctions, anti-corruption, AML, anti-boycott and other compliance related laws and regulations, and notify management of any important changes;
* Assist with updates to Bunge compliance guidance policies, and memoranda to local legal counsel;
* Assist with updates to Bunge compliance training documents and related updates to the Bunge portal;
* Assist with email updates to relevant Bunge personnel regarding recent changes to compliance related laws and regulations;
* Develop checklists for compliance related procedures and screening requirements;
* Maintain logs and case files for compliance related data;
* Assist management regarding compliance policies, guidance and training documents, updates and due diligence as required;
* Assist with the development and providing training on various Compliance topics and procedures.
We are looking for different skills in our ideal candidate:
* +/- 2 years of experience in a compliance-focused role, specifically relevant to compliance controls, anti-corruption, anti-bribery, economic sanctions, export controls, anti-boycott, or regulatory work relating to import and export of goods and/or financial transactions.
* Bachelor or Master Degree from an accredited school required, or bachelor degree plus experience in sanctions compliance screening and due diligence.
* Ability to work effectively within the organization and interact with both junior and senior business personnel.
* Strong business partnering skills.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
* Experience with global collaboration or project management.
* English required, second language is a plus.
* Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
* Experience with ERP System SAP/GTS is a plus.
