Viromii is a consultancy specialized in the valorization and technology transfer of research results. Founded seven years ago and headquartered in Valencia, we collaborate with over 160 institutions and companies at national and international levels. Our multidisciplinary team works across multiple scientific and industrial fields, one being the nuclear fusion field. We are supporting ambitious technology transfer initiatives from fusion to non-fusion markets.
This position is for carrying out Technology Brokerage services for Viromii to facilitate the commercialization of fusion technologies on the market.
Position Overview
We are seeking aSenior Technology Broker with a strong technical background to carry out brokerage services.
The successful candidate will act as a Technology Broker and will build, promote and sell Viromii's Clients' Portfolios of advanced fusion-related technologies.
Proactive Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, promote, and sell emerging fusion technologies;
- Identify and facilitate potential business opportunities for the emerging fusion technologies;
- Search for potential users, licensees, industrial adopters of the fusion technologies, potential partners, and customers for the developers of the fusion technologies;
- Connect developers of the fusion technologies with potential partners/customers, as well as potential users, licensees, and industrial adopters of their technologies;
- The position requires an active presence in European networks, event participation, and continuous engagement with the developers of fusion technologies and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Building a Portfolio of Technologies: identification of new fusion technologies to be included in a fusion technology portfolio. Production of Technology Offer documents.
- Promotion, communication, and selling of the Portfolio of technologies.
- Management of a virtual Marketplace of fusion technologies.
- Carrying out Brokerage services to transfer fusion technologies to the market.
- Launching and managing of funding initiatives such as an Award or a Demonstrator project.
- To render the services and achieve technology transfer cases, the candidate will have to build a strong network of entities in the nuclear (fusion and fission) and big science ecosystems, and have a good knowledge of other relevant markets.
- The candidate will have to travel to attend commercial fairs and events to sell the Portfolio of technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in brokerage, business development, sales, or technology transfer roles.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
