Job Description
Eurofins is looking for a results-driven professional to lead the purchasing strategy for assigned consumables categories across the Clinical Diagnostic business line. In this key role, you will oversee global sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and drive performance through data, innovation, and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on financial impact, ESG alignment, and operational efficiency, you will play a critical role in shaping a best-in-class procurement function. Here is a detailed view of your responsibilities:
1. Lead and implement the purchasing strategy for assigned consumables categories across the Group.
2. Manage and monitor the progress of all planned projects, taking corrective action when necessary.
3. Develop and manage strategic category plans, including risk management, to ensure the achievement of financial targets (P&L and cash flow).
4. Lead global supplier sourcing activities, including RFI and RFP processes.
5. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, best practices, and innovations through a continuous improvement and total cost of ownership (TCO) approach.
6. Address supplier issues and lead corrective actions to resolve quality and service level agreement (SLA) deviations.
7. Track and report on all key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate performance, and initiate corrective actions when targets are not met.
8. Build strong supplier relationship management (SRM) frameworks and develop strategic partnerships to achieve best-in-class standards.
9. Support ESG initiatives in alignment with Eurofins Group’s sustainability targets.
10. Oversee and track the integration of acquired laboratories to maximize procurement synergies.
11. Evaluate the benefits of new tools and define new processes aimed at improving efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
12. Educational background in Business, Finance, or Engineering; MBA level preferred.
13. Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, including leading global sourcing projects within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
14. Fluent in English, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
15. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, set priorities effectively, and work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
16. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex datasets and scopes.
17. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
18. Experience with Procure-to-Pay (PtP) tools such as Coupa or Ariba.
