The ideal candidate
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) for secondary History teaching
Experience teaching A Levels and IGCSE
Recent and relevant experience teaching History in a UK school setting
Deep and thorough subject knowledge in History
Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to collaborate on planning and resource development
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners
High expectations for student achievement and behaviour, supported by effective classroom management
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Self‐motivated, proactive, and able to contribute positively to the success of the department
