The role maximises the long‑term value of passive infrastructure assets (ducts, fibre, routes, landing points) by defining scalable products, enabling anchor tenancy, and ensuring disciplined global execution. /p pThis is a leadership role operating at an executive level, balancing capital efficiency, customer concentration risk, and network optionality in a multi‑billion‑pound infrastructure environment. /p h3What You Will Do /h3 h3Global Product Strategy /h3 ul liDefine and maintain a single global dark fibre product framework, including: /li liProduct variants, fibre units, and route classifications /li liIRU and lease structures (10–25 years) /li liGlobal handover, demarcation, and access standards /li liEnsure product consistency while enabling compliant regional execution /li liOwn the global product roadmap aligned to network build and overbuild strategy /li /ul h3Commercial Ownership Value Creation /h3 ul liSet global pricing principles, valuation models, and deal guardrails /li liBalance: Anchor tenancy vs long‑term optionality /li liOwn governance for non‑standard, high‑value global contracts /li liPartner with Finance to ensure disciplined capital recovery and return metrics /li /ul h3Global Customer Market Strategy /h3 ul liLead product positioning for Hyperscalers, Tier‑1 carriers and international ISPs data centre platforms and cloud on‑ramps /li liEnable seamless cross‑border dark fibre propositions /li liEnsure route diversity, resilience, and service definitions are globally coherent /li /ul h3Network Infrastructure Influence /h3 ul liShape upstream network decisions, including: fibre count standards and cable architecture, duct utilisation and reserve policy, route diversity and protection strategies /li liEnsure dark fibre product requirements are embedded before construction /li /ul h3Governance, Risk Regulation /h3 ul liDefine global policies covering: asset protection and exhaustion risk, customer concentration and hyperscaler exposure /li liOpen access and regulatory compliance /li liAct as senior escalation point for regulatory, contractual, and strategic risk /li /ul h3Leadership Operating Model /h3 ul liLead a federated global product organisation /li liChair product and deal governance forums /li liProvide thought leadership across Commercial, Network, Legal, and Regulatory teams /li liDevelop future leaders in infrastructure product management /li /ul h3Must Haves /h3 pLeadership experience in fixed‑line telecoms or digital infrastructure. /p h3Deep Expertise In /h3 ul liDark fibre, duct, and passive network economics /li liWholesale and hyperscaler contracting /li liProven track record managing £10m–£100m+ strategic deals /li liStrong executive presence with Board, regulators, and global customers /li /ul h3Might Haves /h3 ul liMulti‑region product or commercial leadership /li liExperience in infrastructure funds or asset‑heavy environments /li liExposure to regulated and open‑access markets /li /ul h3What We Offer You /h3 pAt Colt, you’ll make a difference.
