Job Purpose
The contracts manager oversees the review and approval of all contractual documents to protect the company’s contractual posture, respond to customer requirements, and adhere to TD SYNNEX’s policies. Supports the legal affairs of the organization as directed by the Transactional Legal group's management team and manages legal issues with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
* Provide contractual support for France and EMEA.
* Use sophisticated negotiation skills and influence to direct and control contract negotiations as required to meet established milestones and objectives.
* Maintain effective knowledge of company products and service offerings.
* Maintain client focus that balances the needs of the business for profitability with ensuring the contractual terms and conditions protect the company and minimize risk.
* Support TD SYNNEX’s Legal department systems and tools and actively encourage their use throughout the organization.
* Understand the roles and responsibilities of all relevant company employees to draw upon the expertise of others to achieve business objectives.
* Provide regular input into the development and maintenance of standard contract templates and pre‑approved alternative language.
* Play an active role as a member of the global legal services team, providing input in the development of policies, participating in project work, and implementing initiatives and directives within the organization.
* Advise on legal aspects of TD SYNNEX’s transactional business using sound legal and business judgment and experience.
* Collaborate or cooperate with local management team, global legal services team, outside legal counsel on various matters.
* Participate occasionally in cross‑regional/global negotiations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 3‑5 years in the practice of commercial/corporate/contract law, in French and English, with emphasis on commercial buy/sell transactions. Preference for in‑house experience handling complex contractual review and negotiation matters.
* Qualified law degree from a certified educational institution (preferably in France) or related degree. Knowledge of French mandatory law requirements applying to commercial buy/sell transactions is essential.
* Excellent communication skills. Language requirement: Advanced level of French and English.
* Ability to work effectively in a multi‑tasking environment and to work constructively under stress and pressure.
* Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others and to coach others in the development of their skills.
* Ability to negotiate persuasively and effectively, to conduct in‑depth research into applicable laws and judicial decisions, and to make appropriate recommendations of actions to take.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to communicate legal research information clearly and concisely to others.
* Ability to write clear and logical legal briefs, reports and other documents and to make sound legal decisions.
* Ability to interact positively and effectively with others at various levels within the organization and outside parties.
* Ability to identify needs and opportunities and develop action plans to address them.
* Ability to prioritize work‑load based upon business needs and goals.
* Qualified and admitted to the practice of law in at least one jurisdiction. Such qualification/admission must be in good standing.
