About Us
Happening is the technology engine powering Superbet Group's global platforms and brands that bring thrill to customers across the world every day. We're a game-changing tech company rewriting the rules of sports betting and gaming. Our in-house platform handles serious scale on par with Big Tech, and customer obsession runs through every team. Owning our end-to-end stack gives us the freedom to innovate, flip legacy perceptions, and solve deep, complex challenges for millions of customers.
About the role
We're looking for an outcome-driven Technical Project Manager (TPM) to orchestrate complex, cross-functional initiatives across Applied ML, Data, and Platform Engineering. You'll align teams on crisp milestones, unblock delivery, and ensure our ML-powered experiences (fraud/risk, personalisation, recommendations) land safely in production—on time and to spec. You'll be at the intersection of product, engineering, machine learning, and operations.
You'll split your time between project planning, execution and stakeholder management—driving clarity without losing speed.
What You'll Be Doing
Project and Technical Leadership
* Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional and multi-team projects.
* Build execution plans: scope, milestones, critical path, dependencies and resourcing.
* Drive execution- track burn-down, throughput, and quality metrics.
* Proactively identify and mitigate risks; manage change, trade-offs, and escalation paths.
* Partner with different engineering verticals to shape solution options and validate feasibility.
* Ensure production readiness: observability, A/B plans, rollback/kill-switches and security/privacy reviews.
Stakeholder Management & Comms
* Create shared context and alignment across product verticals and different teams in ML org for various projects/programs.
* Provide clear, concise updates tailored to audiences (engineers vs. execs), backed by data/dashboards and decision logs.
* Align external vendors/partners whenever needed.
What You'll Bring
* 5+ years in technical programme/project management or engineering management delivering complex software/data/ML initiatives at scale.
* Familiarity with the ML lifecycle (feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, online/offline testing, monitoring).
* Proven mastery of delivery frameworks/toolkits: dependency mapping, risk management, cost/budget tracking, and metrics-driven execution.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to simplify complexity and drive decisions quickly.
* Comfortable with Jira/Confluence, Notion, or similar; experience building delivery dashboards (e.g., Looker/Tableau/Quicksight).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in gaming, fintech, or other highly regulated high-scale environments.
* Exposure to ML tools and platforms (e.g., MLflow, Qwak, Airflow, Feature Stores), experimentation platforms, and data governance.
* Track record launching ML-powered products or platforms across multiple markets.
