The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position leads the affiliates communications strategy alongside patient advocacy and sustainability responsibilities. The role covers three core areas:
- Corporate and brand communications — internal and external
- Patient advocacy — strategy and partnerships with patient organisations
- Social responsibility and sustainability — including ISO 14001 and ESG reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support corporate communications activities aligned with global frameworks and brand strategy
- Develop and coordinate media events including press releases, conferences and interviews
- Create local communication materials and manage social media strategies
- Lead crisis issue management, working cross-functionally
- Act as the affiliates representative with local patient organisations
- Co-develop partnerships with local brand teams and integral patient advocacy
- Lead the planning and execution of local social responsibility and sustainability initiatives
- Own the Environmental and ISO 14001 programme, including the companys environmental report
- Deliver the affiliates annual social responsibility report
- Participate in relevant Trade Association meetings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in communications or related subject
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Solid experience in corporate communications, digital communications and patient advocacy
- Certification or demonstrable experience in social responsibility
- Proven track record in crisis management at national or international level
- Project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Health Policy, Sustainability or related areas
- Certification or advanced training in ESG/Corporate Responsibility — GRI Standards, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, Sustainability Reporting or similar
- Experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector
