Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer (>5 years of experience) for our R&D center in Massalfassar (Valencia). This is a full-time, on-site position.
As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Versa Design, you will work on the design and development of electronic circuits for a wide variety of industrial and consumer products and lead junior hardware engineers to complete their tasks. You will also be involved in bringing these products into production and participating in validation and certification processes, ensuring compliance with electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety regulations.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, including hardware, software, mechanical, and test engineers, and you will have the opportunity to grow professionally in a creative and collaborative environment, with great flexibility and continuous learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Design analog and digital electronic circuits for embedded systems.
* Collaborate with other departments to bring designs into mass production.
* Support validation and certification processes in compliance with relevant standards (EMC and electrical safety).
* Prepare documentation and assist in product industrialization.
* Support firmware development if you have knowledge of embedded C programming.
Requirements
* Technical or higher engineering degree.
* 5 or more years of experience designing electronics.
* Solid knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
* Experience using electronic circuit design software.
* Good spoken and written English and Spanish.
Additional skills that will be valued
* Experience using version control systems (SVN or GIT).
* Experience with project management tools (Jira, Kanboard).
* Experience with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout.
* Knowledge of standards such as EN60335, EN60601, EN61851, EN50155.
* Experience developing firmware for microcontrollers (C language).
* Prior experience in product development involving technologies like:
Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet
Real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Human-machine interfaces (HMI)
Server applications using Unix sockets
Electric vehicle charging systems
Motor control (e.g., vector control)
* International experience (study or work abroad is highly valued).
