Role Description
Legacy Online School is seeking qualified and committed K–12 Online Teachers for fully remote teaching positions. Teachers will deliver interactive virtual lessons, support students academically and personally, and collaborate with our academic team to ensure an enriching learning experience.
Depending on qualifications, teachers may teach core subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) or specific grade levels across Elementary, Middle, or High School.
Please note: All new teachers are required to complete a training period, which typically lasts between one week and one month, depending on performance and readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality online instruction aligned with Legacy's curriculum.
Prepare and adapt lesson materials for virtual learning.
Track and assess student progress while providing consistent feedback.
Support students with Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) when applicable.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging online classroom environment.
Collaborate with academic advisers, school leadership, and colleagues.
Participate in professional development and school initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
Experience teaching in virtual or online settings.
Strong subject-matter expertise in relevant teaching areas.
Understanding of lesson planning, assessments, and differentiation.
Experience with IEPs is an advantage.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Comfortable using educational technology and online learning tools.
TEFL/TESOL or similar certifications are a plus.
Compensation and Career Growth
Base Rate: $10/hour (entry-level).
