Fuerte Group Hotels invites reliable and efficient individuals to apply for the position of Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher (Fregador/a). You will be based at the iconic Hotel El Fuerte Marbella, where you will play an essential role in maintaining the hygiene and functional efficiency of our high-standard culinary operations.
1. Position and Mission (ROLE DETAILS)

* Mission: Ensure all kitchen areas, crockery, glassware, cutlery, and culinary equipment are impeccably clean and sanitized, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
2. Essential Job Functions (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
Your role is fundamental to the smooth operation of the Food & Beverage department:
2.1. Washing & Sanitizing
* Operate industrial dishwashing equipment efficiently.
* Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, and pots and pans using established hotel procedures.
* Ensure a continuous, clean supply of equipment is available to the kitchen and restaurant teams, especially during peak service hours.
2.2. Kitchen Hygiene & Organization
* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dish room, storage areas, and general kitchen floor areas.
* Empty trash cans and remove cardboard, disposing of waste materials according to hotel recycling and hygiene policies.
* Assist with cleaning large kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, grills, floor drains) as directed by the kitchen management.
2.3. Safety & Support
* Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and hygiene standards (HACCP principles).
* Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
* Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and beverage supplies as needed.
3. Candidate Profile (JOB REQUIREMENTS) 3.1. Qualifications & Experience
* Experience: Previous experience as a Dishwasher, Kitchen Steward, or Utility role, preferably within a hotel or high-volume restaurant, is highly valued.
* Secondary Education Graduate/ Professional Certificate in Cooking. Food Handler’s Card.
* Minimum 1 year in the position. In a 5-star environment and luxury segment. Experience in Leading Hotels of the World, Preferred Hotels & Resorts or similar.
* Skills: Knowledge of hygiene regulations and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is preferred.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work effectively in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
3.2. Language & Adaptability
* Language (MANDATORY): Basic proficiency in Spanish is strongly desirable for team communication. English is a plus, and other languages too.
* Adaptability: Must be flexible to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
