The
Head of Physical Security IBIOL
will be responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing the global physical security strategy of NTT DATA within the region, ensuring the protection of people, assets, and facilities, the physical business continuity, and regulatory compliance across all countries where the company operates. This role will hold a strategic position within
Real Estate & Workplace (RE&W), reporting directly to the
Head of RE&W IBIOL
and working cross-functionally with
IT/Corporate Security ,
Legal ,
Health & Safety, and
Procurement .
Its mission is to establish and oversee the
physical security control framework
that protects people, assets, and operations; strengthens
organizational resilience
and
regulatory compliance ; and enables a
safe, efficient, and privacy-conscious workplace experience .
FUNCTIONS: Strategy and governance:
Design, maintain, and implement the
Physical Security Master Plan,
the
Office Access Policy,
and related procedures; manage the
RACI matrix
and security governance forums. Compliance and auditing : Execute the
annual multi-country audit plan ; monitor corrective actions; oversee data privacy and retention within security systems (CCTV/ACS/alarm); and coordinate compliance with local regulatory requirements. Risk, continuity, and crisis management:
Support the
Business Continuity Plan
by coordinating escalations, drills, and lessons learned, and by providing executive reporting. Site lifecycle management : Define security requirements for
AS-IS pre-lease, fit-out, handover, operations, and
decommissioning
phases; lead
site risk assessments, zoning, and space segregation. Vendors and budget:
Define sourcing strategy and manage
RFP processes;
oversee
SLAs/OLAs;
manage
OPEX/CAPEX,
forecasting, and variance control. People and culture:
Lead and develop the network of
Office Security Officers (RSO);
design and implement the
annual training plan
(access management, crisis response, privacy, and workplace violence). Technology architecture:
Define standards for
CCTV/VMS, ACS, alarms, and monitoring
systems, including integrations and hardening (in collaboration with
IT/InfoSec);
establish the
modernization roadmap. KPIs/OKRs : Define and monitor
MTTA/MTTR, false-alarm ratios, audit coverage and action closure, policy compliance, percentage of RSOs trained, and budget performance..
Experience and education:
University degree required; postgraduate studies in
Corporate Security ,
Risk Management, or similar fields are desirable. Minimum of
five years
leading
corporate physical security
in multinational and multi-vendor environments. Experience in leased offices,
business centers, and
coworking spaces .
Technical competencies:
Knowledge of
ISO 22301/27001/31000
frameworks;
GDPR / data-privacy
principles applied to CCTV/ACS/alarm systems; and familiarity with local private security regulations. Ability to coordinate
licensed security representatives
with Legal in countries where required.
Functional competencies:
Inclusive leadership, strategic vision, decision-making under pressure, cross-functional influence, stakeholder negotiation, executive/intercultural communication, results orientation, and
data-driven mindset .
Languages:
Native Spanish;
fluent English (C1)
for negotiation. Portuguese and/or French are an asset.
Availability:
Willingness to travel internationally. Location : Barcelona or Madrid
