What You Can Expect Develop and implement regional sustainability strategies (GHG reduction, energy transition, circular economy).
Drive decarbonization initiatives in line with Rhenus Group goals and SBTi commitment.
Ensure compliance with EU sustainability regulations (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, Fit for 55).
Oversee collection, consolidation, and reporting of regional ESG and emissions data.
Support audits, certifications (ISO 14064-1), and external disclosures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into business decisions.
Assess and manage investment/project opportunities with environmental impact and ROI.
Represent the region in customer sustainability discussions and ESG assessments.
Act as the main liaison with external stakeholders on sustainability matters.
Monitor regulatory/market trends and advise leaders on risks and opportunities.
Promote a sustainability culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives.
What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
3+ years' experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, or environmental strategy (logistics/supply chain a plus).
Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi) and EU ESG regulations (e.g., CSRD).
Experience in sustainability compliance, reporting, and carbon accounting; familiarity with ESG software is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills in English, with proven ability to engage stakeholders across levels and geographies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Confident presenter with budgeting experience and attention to detail.
Results-oriented mindset with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
