Overview
A leading multinational business services organisation is seeking a Senior IT Procurement Manager to join its Barcelona hub. This strategic role will work within the wider Group Procurement and Vendor Management team and provide integral commercial leadership expertise to support the delivery of the organisation's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic procurement leadership - develop procurement strategies across key categories (primarily IT) in collaboration with stakeholders to optimise cost, drive efficiency and deliver value for money
- Sourcing execution - develop + execute sourcing exercises (RFPs/negotiations) leveraging market insight and commercial acumen to support business priorities, whilst providing day-to-day commercial advice to stakeholders regarding vendor related activities
- Team management and development - manage junior members of the team to ensure delivery of key Procurement activities in line with expectations, and foster a culture of professional development and best practice
- Business partnering - with senior stakeholders to determine business priorities and how procurement can best support the delivery of these
- Post award vendor management - lead post award vendor management activities across a portfolio of strategic vendors to enable effective performance and relationship management
- Awareness of market trends and opportunities / risks impacting how the business acquires key goods/services and opportunities to improve
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on supplier strategy and commercial decisions
