Through a simple and flexible banking model, Openbank offers customers the possibility to manage their finances on the website or app.Role SummaryOpenBank is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Product to lead the definition, execution and continuous evolution of its multi-product offering — including BNPL, Installments, Cards (branded & co-branded), Pay-in-POS and Cash Loans — across both consumer (BC) and merchant / partner (BB) channels.You will own the full product lifecycle :
from opportunity identification and business case definition to functional specification, development and market launch. You will lead a team of Product Owners and work cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing and Commercial to deliver products that are scalable, compliant and user-centric.This role also plays a critical part in shapingOpenBank´s innovation in agentic commerce, ensuring product readiness for integration into AI-native environments and ecosystems powered by intelligent agents.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Portfolio OwnershipDefine and oversee OpenBank’s product vision and roadmap across all core offerings and geographies.Ensure strategic alignment between product initiatives, business goals and market opportunities.Balance innovation, speed-to-market and operational excellence in product decision-making.Product Team LeadershipLead and manage the team of Product Owners across all product lines.Ensure clear ownership of business and functional requirements, product specifications and backlog prioritization.Promote agile methodologies and outcome-oriented product development culture.Own the UX strategy for both consumer and merchant experiences (web, app, embedded).Coordinate user research, design systems and prototyping to deliver frictionless, accessible and high-conversion journeys.Align UX with brand, product functionality and technical feasibility.Agentic Commerce & Future-Ready DesignPartner with cross-functional leads to embed OpenBank’s financing capabilities into agent-driven ecosystems (LLMs, wallets, Operator agents).Contribute to the design of developer-facing tools (e.G. SDKs, Agentic Toolkits) that enable seamless integration with intelligent agents.Cross-Functional ExecutionCollaborate with Engineering, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Commercial to ensure successful product delivery from concept to deployment.Support BB and embedded finance initiatives with product tooling for merchant onboarding, configuration and reporting.Customer and Merchant-Centric FocusEnsure that every product solves real pain points and delivers measurable value to users and partners.Monitor feedback, data and performance metrics to continuously improve product-market fit and customer satisfaction.Minimum Qualificationsyears of experience in product management or product leadership, ideally in fintech, credit, payments, or ecommerce.Demonstrated success in leading multi-product portfolios in high-growth, regulated environments.Strong skills in team leadership, functional specification, agile delivery and UX coordination.Experience building products for both end-users (BC) and business partners (BB, merchants, embedded finance).Ability to synthesize business, technical, legal and design inputs into clear, actionable product plans.Excellent communication skills in EnglishNice to HaveKnowledge of agentic commerce ecosystems, LLM-powered interfaces, or developer-first platforms.Familiarity with product design for lending, cards or merchant tools.Experience in pan-European product launches and multi-country coordination.Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks (PSD /, AI Act, DSA, AML / KYC).What do we offer?Joining a dynamic and agile company undergoing international expansion.Working in start-up mode with the support of the Santander Group.Competitive remuneration and attractive benefits package.Possibility of growth within the company and the Group.Collaborating on international projects in different countries.Excellent work environment, social clubs and frequent events.Would you like to grow with us?
