What To Expect
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help accelerate our vehicle-level testing. The Autopilot Test Specialist role is highly hands‐on, working closely with engineers and technicians to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement. This is a full‐time position that requires someone who is highly organized, confident in their high‐performance driving abilities, has strong technical aptitude, and can manage projects on a fluid schedule.
This role is based in Tarragona, Spain, but also requires flexibility to travel (up to 40%) to various domestic and international locations as needed, to test vehicles on public roads and proving grounds.

What You'll Do
Safely conduct vehicle-level testing of our Autopilot system by analyzing data, triaging software issues, and troubleshooting abnormal vehicle behaviours using Tesla's proprietary in‐house software tools.
Communicate test results with engineers and remain on‐call for clarification when necessary.
Support the design and fabrication of vehicle engineering tools.
Assist technicians with vehicle preparation by installing relevant test equipment.
Maintain and document the condition of test vehicles and coordinate repairs or retrofits as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality regarding prototype hardware and software, unreleased vehicle programmes, and all other internal Tesla information.
Support any additional vehicle engineering testing as required.
What You'll Bring
Comfortable with repetitive vehicle manoeuvres.
Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand tools and an aptitude for software skills.
Familiarity with ADAS/Autopilot systems and their sensors.
Fundamental knowledge of UNECE regulations (active safety) is a plus.
Basic knowledge of fundamental vehicle systems and how they work.
Comfortable driving engineering vehicles which may contain prototype software and hardware.
Experience with safely driving trailers with heavy loads.
Excellent attention to detail and high situational awareness.
Ability to multi‐task, organise, and work in an extremely fast‐paced environment.
Very good English communication skills.
Must be comfortable driving prototype vehicles that may lack standard safety features, and must hold a valid EU driver's licence with a clean driving record.
