Given that, there is a need for effective and timely supporting the field office team when it comes to addressing information technology matters such as IT operations and maintenance, providing daily user support as well as training if needed.Purpose of the Assignment The primary purpose of this assignment is to provide technical support and assistance in the organization’s IT operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of IT systems and infrastructure.ObjectivesTo support daily IT operations and maintenanceTo assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and softwareTo ensure data security and backup procedures are followedTo provide user support and training as neededTo assist in the documentation of IT systems and proceduresScope of Work The IT Assistant will be responsible for:
Providing technical support to staff and usersInstalling, configuring, and maintaining hardware (computers, printers, network devices)Installing and updating software applicationsManaging network connectivity and troubleshooting network issuesPerforming backups and ensuring data securityMaintaining inventory of IT equipment and software licensesAssisting in the setup of new IT infrastructureDocumenting procedures, configurations, and issuesDeliverablesWeekly reports on support activities and issues resolvedInventory list of IT equipment and softwareDocumentation of IT procedures and configurationsAd hoc reports as requiredQualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldProven experience in IT support or similar roleKnowledge of networking, hardware, and software troubleshootingFamiliarity with data security protocolsGood communication skillsReporting Line The IT Assistant will report to head of field office and IT officer as a technical level and collaborate with other staff as necessary.Confidentiality The IT Assistant shall maintain confidentiality regarding all organizational data and information accessed in the course of work.
