Mediktor is looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our Agile team in charge of the continuous improvements of our backend as well as the development and support of our different customer integrations.
This can lead to enormous cost savings, process optimization and waiting time reduction in many healthcare use cases, for example in triage for emergency departments or medical call centers.
Our technology uses natural language recognition, multiple types of prediction models, and can be integrated into almost any type of solution thanks to our UI libraries and our wide range of API methods and capabilities.

We invite you to be part of the team of one of the most important technology startups in the ehealth sector. We are a Barcelona-based startup and we are growing ! As a startup company, we are fast-learners but still adapting some of the processes so you can help us in the shaping of our Scrum framework;
daily meetings, Sprint planning, Spikes, Retros, refinements, regular brainstorming sessions and after-work beers once per month! You will be introduced to our development team and you will be sitting a lot with our backend team to deep-dive into our backend code. Your knowledge of our backend will still be far from ideal but you will already know what an evaluation is and how we are improving access to health care.
You will have delivered several versions of our corporate app in Production improving small features. You will have a better knowledge of our backend functionalities and the different services offered to our interfaces (Android, iOS, web, Alexa, Telegram) and customers. written in Java (Spring, ORM, Websockets)
Maintain and further improve our backoffice; written in Java.
Be part of the team and improve your knowledge from other teammates: backend, iOS, web, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, IT…
Contribute to build clean code with proper unit tests to keep code optimised
Work with our PO and BA in our backoffice redesign and improvement
Keep up with technological advances to optimise our software
Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
5 years in Java development doing similar functions as specified in the job description
3 years defining software architecture
Proven experience in Java + Spring & API creation
Framework Spring & Spring Boot
Any ORM: Hibernate, Apache Cayenne, JPA
Knowledge in automated testing and QA procedures
Comfortable working with source control programs such as Git, Subversion etc.
Good communication skills (English & Spanish)
specifically with Jenkins and AWS
Experience in Docker and container technologies
Experience in Agile methodologies
