Viking Travel Care is part of the Viking Assistance Group, a leading Nordic provider of roadside assistance, vehicle-related services and assistance. Viking has offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Torrevieja and Fuengirola in Spain.
Role Overview
The IT department delivers technology services to Viking Assistance Group. This is a dedicated IT Portfolio Manager role at Viking Travel Care, responsible for overseeing the development and optimization of our travel assistance services. You will collaborate closely with Travel Care management and specialists to define product vision, prioritize enhancements, and lead cross-functional efforts that drive operational excellence and business growth. Your focus will be on identifying opportunities for improvement, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the successful implementation of scalable solutions that deliver value to our customers. The role reports to the Group CTO. Work location is Oslo, but Torrevieja or Fuengirola in Spain may also be an option.
Key Responsibilities
- Product and portfolio roadmap and vision
- Oversee the strategic planning, development, and management of the IT portfolio to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring effective resource allocation and timely delivery of key initiatives.
- Coordinate project activities, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and status reporting, to drive successful project outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT solutions.
- Ensure documentation and optimization of core processes in collaboration with medical and administrative teams.
- Ensure IT portfolio compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain financial processes within IT systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with multi-national business processes
- Experience in IT project/portfolio management, system architecture or similar roles.
- Familiarity with IT systems, enterprise architecture, governance frameworks, and portfolio management tools.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) or similar preferred.
- Background in software engineering or similar preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and levels.
- Fluent in English. Nordic language skills are a plus but not required.
