About The Role
As an AP1000 Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Training Instructor you will deliver high‑level training. You will report to the Operations and Technical Training Manager and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes. This is a full‑time hybrid position with a mix of 50% on‑site and 50% remote days that may be set at your discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in all stages of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process of the initial and continuing education programs of your specialty.
Manage the analysis, design and implementation of initial training needs in your specialty.
Design, develop, and implement the sessions corresponding to the initial and continuous training courses of licensed and non‑licensed operations personnel, including teaching sessions in the classroom, plant, and the simulator.
Collaborate in the analysis and implementation of corrections in the simulator when any type of malfunction is detected and collaborate in the tests.
Coordinate training, provide support to training committees, and plan training programs.
Define and collaborate in the development of advanced educational means (simulators, multimedia, videos, and models) related to your responsibilities and in the maintenance and updating of those already available.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or Sciences (Mechanical, Chemical, Energy, Nuclear, Physics, or similar).
7+ years of experience as an Operations Instructor or similar role.
Training, teaching, pedagogical skills, and experience with power plants or industrial facilities.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Driver's license.
Ability for occasional travel to client facilities.
