As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging technical innovation with real-world applications for our client's industry-leading solar design automation platform.
This role offers significant growth potential in product ownership while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance automation capabilities for utility-scale solar developers, engineers, EPCs, and manufacturers.
You will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing market trends, and ensuring the software continues to meet evolving industry needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and analyze requirements from solar developers, engineers, and EPCs to identify workflow pain points.
* Translate complex solar design needs into functional specifications and user stories for development teams.
* Track market trends in solar design tools, construction methods, and industry regulations to inform product strategy.
* Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for new features.
* Collaborate with customer success teams to measure the impact of automation features on project efficiency.
* Support product backlog prioritization and contribute to roadmap planning.
* Facilitate user acceptance testing and gather feedback on usability and automation accuracy.
* Represent the company at industry events to track trends and gather market intelligence.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 2–3 years of experience in business analysis for technical software products, preferably in SaaS.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and document complex technical workflows.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product strategy planning.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Background in solar, renewable energy, or civil engineering industries.
* Experience with CAD software, GIS tools, or solar energy modeling platforms (PVsyst, SAM, etc.).
* Knowledge of utility-scale solar design principles and workflows.
* Familiarity with APIs and software integrations.
Salary Range: $60-90k - Depending on location
