Job Description:
One vacancy for MODEL-BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING SPECIALIST AND COACH for ICD Data Management (m/f/d) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Spain, Getafe. You will join the Process, Methods, Tools and Data Team for SE/MBSE "PMTD for SE/MBSE". As part of "PMTD for SE/MBSE", the candidate will support fulfilling the ADS global engineering process system vision. The job opportunity has arisen for becoming part of the Overall PMTD team for NGWS/FCAS/RPAS in which, as MBSE Specialist and Coach for ICD Data Management, you will be helping the teams to have methods available for a seamless digital connection in the System Architecture and Design performed in CAMEO and the ICD databases in ICDMS on the various levels of product decomposition (L1, L2, L3, L4).
The position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Tasks:
1. Define ready-to-use MBSE methodologies for ICD data management in order to connect system design and system design verification along the complete system life-cycle in close cooperation with other PMTD teams, the Business Lines and the Airbus Group. This includes defining instructions, manuals, guidelines, handbooks, best practices, training materials, checklists, templates, customization, tool usage, etc.
2. Connect MBSE environment incl. Mission Analysis, Operational Analysis, Functional Analysis, Conceptual design, with Simulation environment wrt interface data in order support the complete design verification till CDR.
3. Training and coaching of employees, mentoring and roll-out of respective processes, methods and tools.
4. Identifying capability needs and setting up adequate training concepts together with training organizations.
5. Advancing methodologies integrated into the PMTD environment and implemented as standards engineering practice in Airbus Defence and Space.
6. Supporting Business Lines for the connected MBSE – Simulation approaches.
7. Recommend related methods and tools and support their application for the individual development tasks.
8. Support the application of MBSE and Simulation through training and coaching.
9. Provide MBSE support to produce interface related project deliverables according to the customer requirements.
This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Skills:
1. Master degree in Systems/Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years experiences in Engineering, in particular on Systems Engineering Operational Analysis, Requirements Analysis, System Design, Design Verification, IV&V, Good knowledge in Aircraft Systems, Human Factors Engineering, and Interface Management, ASEP certification would be beneficial, CSEP certification a plus.
3. Extended knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and languages such as: ISO/IEEE 15288, ARP 4754A, DEVELOP, Cameo System Modeller, ICDMS, Enterprise Architect, DOORS, SysML, UML, UAF, NAF 3.1, Java, Java Script, and Python.
4. Very good coordination and communication skills as well as assertiveness.
5. Ability to work cross-functionally and in an international environment.
6. Ability to build and maintain a network.
7. Ability to work in a team – also remotely.
8. Negotiation level in English/Spanish or in Spanish/German, Knowledge in French would be a plus.
