Overview

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Business Development Representative (German Market) based in Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at office). Languages: Fluent German and English. Focus: Software Sales | Digital Transformation | New Business Growth. This role is part of the EMEA Commercial Operations team and involves identifying and engaging strategic prospects across the DACH region to explore the value of cutting-edge industrial software solutions. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation, creativity, and customer focus drive the work.

You will report to the Senior Manager, High Velocity - EMEA.

Responsibilities

- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and social media to generate interest and schedule meetings
- Qualify inbound and marketing-generated leads and connect them with the right sales resources
- Support pipeline development by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing leads
- Use tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to manage and track engagement
- Understand customer needs, behaviors, and industry trends to tailor messaging
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute campaigns and share insights
- Represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm in every customer interaction

The Essentials - You Will Have

- At least one year of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (ideally in software or digital solutions)
- Fluency in German and English
- Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales platforms
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- A passion for connecting with people
- Ability to thrive in an agile environment

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

- Familiarity with Salesforce

- This is a remote-first sales role with occasional travel (less than 10 percent)
