We are looking to hire an Area Finance Business Partner, based in Madrid within an amazing international team.
As an Area Finance Business Partner, you will be expected to understand the business and work with different functions. The role offers an opportunity to be a trusted business partner for the Area, regional management, and Product teams, assuring that the drivers and levers for achieving the business targets are well understood and applied appropriately.

Your main responsibilities
Being an integral part of the team, these are your main activities, to deliver on Maersk’s ambitious goals:
Tasks Rolling Forecast
7. Own the process for SWE Area, ensuring timeline and task distribution to Area, across Products and brands
8. Ensure strategic initiatives are included in forecasts for the relevant Product with a meaningful link between growth and resource requirements
9. Consolidate and review forecasts per Product to ensure a coherent story for Europe as a Region
10. Maintain and develop new reporting capabilities to be utilized on Area level.
Tasks Maersk Operating System
11. Develop and maintain the monthly MOS deck (Product and Area) – Participate in the MOS call
12. Establish outlook across key metric (Revenue, Gross Profit, EBITDA & EBIT) per Product to steer the future decision making.
Profitability
13. Drive profitability analysis providing relevant data and insights to improve efficiency and support growth ambitions.
14. Monitor and track team efficiency across the area using standard productivity measures
15. Assist in defining and tracking area execution and business plans
16. Provide input and analysis where required for budget planning.
Other Tasks
17. Support Product with relevant performance metrics
18. Support development and review of strategic initiatives
19. Establish monthly pre-close estimates and create financial modelling where necessary.
We appreciate a person with:
20. Relevant studies in Finance or equivalent and several years of experience in this sector.
21. Previous experience working as a Business Partner, or similar roles acting as an advisor towards management and/or business stakeholders (FP&A, or similar).
22. Partnering mindset – effective stakeholder management skills and able to build effective trusted relationships.
23. Self-starter – able to manage the regular deliverables and prioritize – without requiring step by step guidance.
24. Solves complexity based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes and is aware of the impact of proposed solutions outside their own immediate area.
25. Analytical and Curious mindset.
26. Excellent communication skills.
27. Fluent in English.
