Overview
Airbus is seeking an Industrial System Engineer to contribute to Industrial System Design and Modelling at the Illescas plant. The role involves working within the production system efficiency team to define, develop and mature industrial solutions that address aircraft programme challenges, with focus on delivering on-time quality, reducing development and production lead times, and optimizing costs across product and process development and recurring costs. The position supports Industry 4.0 initiatives and the Digital Transformation at Airbus to improve industrial performance through new processes, methods and tools (design, modelling and simulation).
The role is part of a cross-functional environment with Lean & Industrial ISEs, and aims to influence legacy programs and the Factory of the Future while contributing to RT&T and industrial projects that shape the future Airbus industrial systems.
Responsibilities
* You will contribute to Industrial System Design at the Illescas plant for future and existing programs.
* You will support key industrialization projects with Manufacturing Line Design skills to ensure outcomes deliver tangible benefits and long-term performance.
* You will evaluate and challenge current and future industrial solutions and provide recommendations to Industrial Architects through our digital capabilities.
* You will develop Manufacturing Line Design ways of working to align with business priorities.
* You will increase knowledge and autonomy with tools for flow design and ergonomics simulations.
* You will act as a catalyst of change within a local team of Lean & Industrial ISEs to evolve the ways of working in the Industrial Community.
Qualifications
* Strong background in Manufacturing or Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering with deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Operational experience in the implementation and optimization of industrial systems (conception, qualification, implementation, management of production processes).
* Proven experience in industrialization and shop-floor execution.
* Solid knowledge of industrial performance management.
* Autonomy and ability to influence, lead change and manage transformation processes in an international environment.
* Knowledge of MBSE and PLM tools with a focus on flow simulation (e.g., Anylogic and 3DExperience).
