A vacancy for a Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Stress Specialist for Engineering in-service solutions has arisen within Airbus Operations in Getafe.
About the 1SAT1 RFE Daily Repair Team:
The RFE repair team in Getafe, supported by our Repair Centers in North America, India and China, provides 24/7 support to airlines requesting repair solutions not covered by the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) for the entire Airbus fleet. Daily repairs address day‑to‑day operational needs and typically require a few hours from request to approval.

Responsibilities:
* Customer oriented – respond effectively to client needs.
* Collaborative – work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
* Perform fatigue and damage tolerance analysis for repairs using validated methods.
* Ensure adherence to regulations, design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capability guidelines.
* Analyze damage reports to identify root causes and develop repair solutions.
* Apply knowledge of NDT and interpret related data.
* Interface and communicate with suppliers and customers.
* Generate certification documents for repair/acceptance of damaged structures.
* Maintain basic knowledge of airworthiness regulations.
Qualifications:
* Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
* Experience: At least 5 years in structural analysis engineering.
* Soft skills: High adaptability to new topics, businesses, and networking environments.
* Languages: Advanced level in English.
* Technical knowledge: Sound knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of aerospace structures and related tools (e.g., ISAMI, FEM).
* Nice to have: Experience in structural design principles and tools.
