About The Role
A Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect is a holistic thinker who drives and evolves a complex technical vision with deep knowledge of cloud-native and AI-powered infrastructure. Able to straddle business and technical concerns, this person creates options and solutions that address business needs and longer-term strategic concerns.
This role is part of the Cloud Community of Excellence and will have a key contribution in defining and deploying cloud strategy, guidelines and best-practices across the organization. The architect will lead the design and governance of enterprise Landing Zones, cross-functional infrastructure, and will drive the adoption of AI and AIOps capabilities to elevate operational excellence across the organization.
Reporting to the Global Head of Cloud, this role will be a key player throughout the whole product lifecycle, from design to operations, ensuring that digital products and applications meet the highest quality standards and follow corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic influence across groups, projects and products based on Azure Cloud and AWS to implement cost-effective technology solutions to solve complex business problems.
2. Co-create with the Core Cloud team and leaders a long-term vision and cloud strategy for the organization.
3. Act as enabler for the Cloud teams of the corporate Cloud strategy and Cloud governance, ensuring alignment with the 5 pillars of the Well Architected Framework: Security, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, Reliability, and Performance Efficiency.
4. Work with development and architecture teams to guide and govern architecture, providing expertise, guidelines and evangelizing best practices.
5. Define cross-functional infrastructure standards covering networking (hub-spoke, VWAN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect), identity (Entra ID, SCPs), and governance (Azure Policy, AWS Organizations, guardrails).
6. Collaborate with Security, Data and Networking teams to build a cohesive cross-infrastructure model that spans on-premises, cloud and edge environments.
7. Collaborate in the definition and adoption of an AIOps strategy to transform cloud operations: intelligent monitoring, anomaly detection, predictive capacity planning and automated remediation.
8. Promote FinOps + AIOps synergies: use AI-driven cost anomaly detection and rightsizing recommendations to optimize cloud spend across business units.
9. Spread and govern cloud automation standards defined by the Core team, ensuring operations are based on an automation-first strategy.
10. Lead proofs of concept with external partners to test new solutions, AI tooling and infrastructure components.
11. Act as a thought leader to influence and collaborate with other areas on cloud and infrastructure engineering to build a DevSecOps and agile culture.
Qualifications
12. At least 5 years of experience in large-scale cloud solutions and at least 3 years delivering Azure-based Cloud Platforms.
13. Hands-on experience designing and governing enterprise Landing Zones and cross-functional cloud infrastructure across multiple accounts/subscriptions.
14. Experience implementing AIOps practices: AI-driven monitoring, automated remediation and predictive operations.
15. Strong background in cloud-native development, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep), containers (Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
16. Solid knowledge of cloud networking (hub-spoke, VWAN, ExpressRoute), security best practices (Zero Trust, policy-as-code) and observability platforms.
17. Familiarity with AI/ML cloud services (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker) and MLOps workflows.
18. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
19. Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and technology partner management skills.
20. Mentoring and technical advisory capabilities to support cloud engineers and architects in their growth.
21. Essential: high level of English.
