The R&D Verification Engineer II joins CASE BU to conduct software testing of SaaS based applications. This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied. The role works closely with other members of the product creation team and communicates with technical specialists on product issuesKey Duties And ResponsibilitiesSpecify and write test cases, creates, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scriptsPerform functional, application, regression and white box testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problemsAutomate testing activities at both the application and source code levelsContribute to expanding test coverage, monitoring daily test results, and diagnosing root causes of test failuresBe an active and flexible team member, ensuring the success of our projectsCreate test plans, participate in defect management and testing metricsApply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processesWork in a variety of computing environments: Windows, LinuxMinimum Education/Certification Requirements And ExperienceBS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experienceProgramming experience in PythonExperience with Pytest and writing the unit, integration and end-to-end test using Pytest frameworkExperience with different software delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum etc.Experience with Front-end (UI) automation testing tools such as Selenium, CypressGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed teamPreferred Qualifications And SkillsTechnical knowledge and experience with standard software engineering practices such as CI/CDExperience with automated test frameworks such as Pytest/JunitBasic understanding of Docker and containerization conceptsExperience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environmentBasic knowledge of the database such as PostgreSQLKnowledge of debugging the existing test scripts using VS code or similar toolAt Ansys, we know that changing the world takes vision, skill, and each other.
