The Group Finance team is referred to as "PBRC" (Planning, Budget, Results, Central) and operates from two locations: Paris and Madrid. This department focuses on analyzing, commenting, and reporting financial information delivered to Group Management and external parties.
PBRC oversees major Finance processes at the Group level and is responsible for IFRS and Solvency 2 actual account analysis and forecast production. The team reassesses financial indicators, adjusts them when necessary, and leads the "PBR" family within the Group in doing so.
Group Consolidation Team
The Group Consolidation team compiles and prepares AXA Group IFRS Financial Statements (actual and plan) and Solvency 2 Pillar 3 regulatory reporting on a quarterly basis. This includes regular interactions with entities to review and control financial statements and S2P3 reporting.
The team coordinates the production of Group financial statements and interacts with other Group teams, such as Norms&Actuaries, Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Legal, and Investment/ALM Investment teams, as well as key external stakeholders like Auditors and Regulators.
The Group Consolidation team consists of junior and senior Controllers based in Madrid under the supervision of the Head of Consolidation team. Each controller is responsible for specific transversal topics and serves as the key contact point for a certain perimeter of entities.
Financial Controller Role
The mission of the Financial Controller in Consolidation involves assisting their direct manager in controlling, analyzing, and delivering S2P3 regulatory reporting:
* Review and Control S2P3 quarterly and annual reporting, including contribution to Group Solvency 2 reports (RSR and SFCR).
* Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting treatments, reporting, and disclosure requirements in IFRS and S2P3, as well as contribute to IFRS closing procedures on an ad-hoc basis.
Key responsibilities include defining Group timetables and instructions, preparing internal regular syntheses, identifying process improvements, managing audit trails and internal control frameworks, interacting with Group departments and entities, and contributing to team performance.
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Audit & Accounting or Certified Accountant Graduated/Master degree/Actuarial degree
* Approximately 7 years' experience in Consolidation/Accounting/Financial Controlling or auditing in Insurance or financial services
* Fluent in English; French is a plus
Technical Skills
* Business analysis and synthesis skills
* Good knowledge of accounting and financial mechanisms; IFRS rules, consolidation techniques is desirable
* Good knowledge of Solvency 2 principles
* Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
* Knowledge of SAP Magnitude will be an advantage
