We are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Analyst to join our team in Barcelona.
In this role you will work at the intersection of science and technology, defining data driven solutions that support innovation across the global Life Sciences and Healthcare ecosystem. This is an amazing opportunity to work on customer-facing solutions within our R&D portfolio.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical, sciences or healthcare discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working as a Business Analyst in software development.
3. Will have led the business analysis of a medium-sized software application or the major component of a large software application, ideally working on data products.
4. Proven experience of eliciting requirements and aligning deliverables with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. Proven experience in requirements analysis and defining technical solutions with engineering teams.
6. Proven experience managing end-to-end analysis activities and contributing to final decision making with product managers and technical leads.
7. Experience working with cloud-based platforms and Agile delivery teams.
8. Working knowledge of requirements tracking tools such as Jira, Rally or similar.
9. Strong communication skills, ability and confidence to convey complex ideas to mid-to-senior level stakeholders.
10. Strong proficiency in oral and written English.
It would be great if you also had
11. Experience of working in the Life Sciences or Healthcare domain, particularly in the delivery of software to Life Sciences and/or Healthcare companies.
12. Data modelling, data analysis and data visualization skills
13. Understanding of key concepts of data science, machine learning and AI tools and services
14. Experience with AI‑supported SDLC tools
15. Experience mentoring or guiding other analysts.
What will you be doing in this role?
16. Lead requirements elicitation and analysis with Life Science stakeholders, translating product requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications (in the form of Epics and User Stories).
17. Assess existing and proposed solutions, define solution options with tech leads and collaborate on data models, system flows and overall solution design.
18. Create and maintain Agile-oriented documentation, including functional and non- functional specifications, and ensure accurate post deployment updates.
19. Work closely with cross functional teams such as product, engineering, QA, UX and architecture to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria and support delivery quality.
20. Contribute to portfolio level planning by supporting business cases, prioritisation and identifying synergies across initiatives.
21. Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge sharing within the Solutions Analysis community.
About the Team
22. You will be reporting to a Lead Solutions Analyst based in London.
23. We are a global team of more than 20 colleagues located in Spain, UK and India.
Hours of Work
This is a permanent full‑time role at 40 hours per week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid, requiring attendance at our Barcelona office (near Sagrada Familia) 2–3 times per week.
