Job Overview
Junior Legal Officer – AI Factory, Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and advising on a wide range of legal instruments within BSC’s AI Factory project, funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility.
Key Duties
* Structure, draft, and review legal documents: MOUs, NDAs, collaboration agreements, and internal policies.
* Provide legal counsel on administrative and science law matters.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
* Advise departments on legal queries and disseminate legal concepts.
* Conduct seminars and trainings on legal matters.
* Perform other tasks as required by the Legal team.
Requirements
* Education: Law degree; Master’s in Legal Practice, Technology Law, Public Law, or European Law preferred.
* Experience: 0–2 years practising law in a similar role.
* Language: Fluency in English, Spanish, and Catalan (written and spoken).
* Skills: Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management abilities; proactive and independent.
* Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge: Administrative law; prior in‑house experience at a public scientific or research organisation is a plus.
Conditions
* Full‑time contract (37.5 h/week), fixed‑term until 31 March 2028.
* Location: BSC Management Department, Barcelona.
* Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience and cost of living in Barcelona.
