Import-Export Technician

We are now seeking an Import & Export Logistics Technician to join our passionate Import/Export and Logistics team. Based at our headquarters in Barcelona, the selected candidate will play a key role in managing the import-export process from transport to final destination within the Global Business Unit.
About the Role :
The Import-Export Logistics Technician will be responsible for sending raw materials and final products from our factories to other factories or clients across different countries and regions. They will coordinate with the Planning department to align availability with supply chain needs and manage the entire import-export process, including booking freight and maritime transport.
They will work closely with Global Procurement to ensure the supply of materials from purchase or production to final destination, optimizing costs and service quality to maintain stock integrity.
Responsibilities :
* Manage import and export trade operations
* Process legal exemptions, allowances, licenses, and government approvals for import/export activities
* Handle customs clearances and documentation
* Coordinate supply chain logistics according to operational needs
* Negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders
* Maintain relationships with agents, transporters, and merchandisers for visibility of movements
* Plan and oversee logistics operations
Requirements :
Skills and Competences:
* Problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Strong communication skills (oral and written)
* Organization and planning abilities
* Ability to work under pressure
Qualifications :
* Degree in International Business Economics or Trade (e.G., ESCI-UPF)
* Fluent in English and Spanish (C1 level), other languages are a plus
* At least 3 years of experience in maritime transport and foreign trade
* Proficiency in Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint);
Power BI experience is a plus
* Experience managing SAP
* Experience in food industry companies is valued
