The RoleAs an expert in FP&A you will be a key contributor to the global budgeting and forecasting of the consolidated P&L covering the largest scope of the company, owning critical aspects of departments budgeting, management reporting and supporting the organization analytical models.
Reporting to the OPEX Manager, with a dotted line to the Director of Group FP&A and Profit forecasting, you will have the opportunity to support Markem-Imaje business strategies and projects from various financial aspects, helping to identify actions that support budget/forecast commitments and drive results. You will be part of the global team responsible for Markem-Imaje planning consolidation and analysis, working closely with global finance and top management.
From a functional support perspective, you will act as global FP&A business partner for several departments. You will support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, support key initiatives, and provide strategic insights to top management at both Markem-Imaje and Dover levels.
What you will do:
Become a trusted business partner to key stakeholders across multiple departments, supporting the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, conducting ad hoc analyses, developing project business cases, and managing monthly spend reviews versus plan. This includes preparing and supporting the presentation to both Markem‐Imaje and Dover leadership.
Identify and escalates risks and opportunities to finance and business leadership, providing clear variance analysis and challenging stakeholders on underlying business drivers and estimation accuracy.
Budgeting and forecasting of the consolidated P&L – reporting to Dover Corporation:
For the various planning exercises, based on the guidance of the Director of Group FP&A and Profit Forecasting, own the preparation, coordination with stakeholders and technical inputs of the P&L components, in conjunction with rest of the global team (Sales, Gross Margin experts, SG&A owner), and in alignment to requirements from Dover Finance.
Own the delivery of variance analysis bridges that are part of the reporting packages, going beyond the technical calculations to share business insights with the right level of granularity. Pro‐actively ask for clarifications on technical aspects to Director and Dover.
Participate to presentations to CFO or MI top management, prepare key inputs for presentations to MI and Dover leadership.
Provide support for the preparation and submission of the Strategic Plan, and for the organization of the budget planning process across Markem‐Imaje, during the year.
Become a key user of Power BI and of the various commercial and financial reports available to analyze the business, participating in the maintenance of some dashboards.
Build new automated reporting solutions leveraging Power BI or other technologies, participate to planning systems projects aiming to further automate or enhance aspects of the forecasting and budgeting process.
Influence financial data collection and systems to accommodate to dynamic business context.
What you need to have:
University master's degree in finance, MBA or equivalent.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, proven record of 5+ years in FP&A and/or Controlling role(s), as part of a global industrial and/or technology company.
Proven experience in costs budgeting, sales, and profitability analysis, with a sound accounting knowledge (USGAAP a plus).
Strong experience with SAP (FI-CO) Enterprise Resource Planning system.
Solid experience with planning and analytical systems. Knowledge of Power BI, DAX coding, OneStream or SAP-BW, a plus.
Experience of working in a matrix organization, ability to facilitate cross functional projects.
Detail oriented, and ability to switch to the big picture, with good synthesis skills.
Strong time planning capabilities, being able to manage multiple deliverables with quality in defined and sometimes limited time frames, strong ability to handle pressure.
Superior communication and influencing skills, collaborative spirit, self‐started and independent.
Fluent in English, knowledge of French a plus.
