Job DescriptionAs part of our European 24‐month program, you will have the opportunity to gain a wide breadth of exposure and experience across our key Business Units. In addition, you will continue to grow and develop your career through on‐the‐job and formal training, coaching and mentoring. At the end of the program, you will be placed in a leading financial role that suits your strengths as you kick‐start your career with Avient.

Key Responsibilities

You will gain experience in accounting and finance processes, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and internal controls. You will be exposed to financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlling. You will develop an understanding of financial statements, month‐end closing routines, and how financial data supports operational and strategic decision‐making. You will also learn best practices in financial governance, risk management, and continuous improvement of financial processes.

You will gain exposure to other key business functions and understand how finance partners with the business. You will learn the fundamentals of business controlling, including performance analysis, KPI tracking, and investments. You will be introduced to basic tax, treasury, and audit principles, gaining insight into compliance requirements and financial policies. This will help you understand how financial transparency and controls support sustainable business performance.

As part of the program, it is essential to gain experience beyond the home organization by collaborating with or working with other finance teams. This provides valuable exposure to financial structures and ways of working. Working in a cross‐cultural environment strengthens your stakeholder management skills and global business understanding. The insights and best practices gained can be transferred back, enabling participants to add value in future finance leadership roles.

Selection Process

Initial phone screens will take place between 1 st April – 30th April 2026.

Recruitment Events take place between 18 th May – 1 st July 2026.

Program EndThe program will end in 2028.

Qualifications

Master degree in Accounting.

Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience including internship or student assignments.

Good spoken and written communication skills.

Good active listening skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Languages: English and another fluent language.

EU Category B Driving License.
