CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.
Research Programs at CRAG (from basic science to applied research using plant experimental model systems, crops, and farm animals) make extensive use of genomic technologies and large sets of genetic and genomic data ().
Responsibilities
CRAG is seeking an HR Talent Officer for a temporary contract of up to 6 months (Temporary position – Covering a maternity leave), to provide operational support to the HR Unit during a defined period. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Head of Human Resources, ensuring the correct implementation of HR policies, processes and administrative procedures.
* Support the implementation and follow‑up of HR policies and procedures across the employee life cycle.
* Provide first‑line support to research groups, supervisors, researchers and students on HR‑related queries.
* Maintain, update and ensure accuracy of HR databases, records and documentation.
* Support the preparation of standard HR reports and basic analytics.
* Coordinate the CRAG Training Plan, including registrations, certificates, platform updates and communication with training providers.
* Manage the CRAG Training platform and produce training‑related reports.
* Support recruitment and selection procedures, including vacancy publication, candidate coordination and documentation flow.
* Support onboarding processes for national and international newcomers (documentation, induction coordination, access requests).
* Assist with administrative tasks related to students, interns and visitors (agreements, insurance checks, documentation).
* Provide support in basic Health & Safety administrative processes (medical checks, document coordination).
* Prepare documentation required for audits, project justifications and external reviews
* Support actions linked to the Equality Plan and the HRS4R accreditation.
* Provide basic support in international mobility processes in coordination with CRAG’s external mobility provider.
* Provide general administrative support to the Head of HR.
Requirements
* University Degree in Psychology, Labour Sciences, HR Management or similar.
* Master’s or postgraduate degree in HR will be valued.
* Minimum 2 years of proven experience in an HR department.
* Experience in research centres or international environments will be valued.
* High level of Spanish, Catalan and English.
* Experience with HRIS or HR analytics will be an asset.
* Experience in research centres will be valued.

Working conditions

* Salary according to experience and CRAG salary structure.
* Expecting starting date : February / March
* Flexible working hours and teleworking options (according to CRAG policy), 22 days of holidays and 9 personal leave days (both pro‑rated), intensive working hours in summer and on Fridays.
* Work environment within an international research centre located on the UAB Campus.
