**Commercial Controller**
- Full-time, Bangalore, India / Barcelona, SpainAs a Commercial Controller you will take pricing lead on SME, regional and global bids. You will coordinate multiple stakeholders at commercial and operational level to meet client timelines with pragmatic and cost-effective pricing solutions. Understands client requirements and compose competitive pricings considering the commercial assumptions. Lead negotiation throughout the pricing process, including submitting clarification questions on price risks appropriately.
You will support the Commerce department to control and manage client offers resulting in commercial justified agreements.
**A snapshot of this opportunity**
- Works closely with sales lead on bid strategy consisting simple to complex bids
- Prepare, review, validate and where necessary modify tender data received from our sales teams, to generate accurate and cost reflective prices
- Takes the lead in preparing and accurately pricing all elements of bids. Identifies opportunities for savings and future growth.
- Demonstrates an ability to understand complex specifications, draft effective clarifications questions and identify risk and opportunities
- Implement agreed price changes in an effective and timely manner including managing the price changes into systems and validating that these changes have been implemented accurately
- Record and upload the required evidence for pricing control assertions
- Support Commercial lead in conducting analysis to understand the impact of price changes and to identify improvement opportunities
- Manage the pricing inbox; assisting colleagues with pricing queries, ensuring appropriate customer and commercial outcomes are achieved
- Ensure that all changes to pricing are briefed to all relevant parties in an accurately and timely manner
- Review cost assumptions periodically
**How you can set yourself apart**
- Experience working in B2B competitive market
- Intellectually curious but with proven track record of rolling up sleeves to understand the ins and outs of costing, pricings and margins
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Proficiency with SQL or VBA would be beneficial
- Numerically strong with high standards for quality and accuracy
- Experience in an analytical or operational role
- Experience working to tight deadlines
- Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a numerical or statistical discipline
- Responds positively to changing requirements of own role
- Is self-sufficient and takes ownership
- Meets deadlines and focuses on key tasks and deliverables
- Understands impact of actions on profitability
- Seeks opportunities for gaining knowledge or experience
- Collaborates with others to achieve mutual goals
- Shares relevant information with other teams
- Responds to customer requests promptly
