Application Support - Freelance contract - 12 months - Onsite in Valencia, Spain
An experienced Application Support technician is needed for a one year contract. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite at the client base in Valencia, Spain, plus 2 days remote. You will work alongside an existing multinational group of technical support professionals, providing maintenance, troubleshooting and 2nd and 3rd line support on a variety of applications used on multiple projects. English is the main business language.
Single stage Teams interviews will happen in June/July for onboarding in August/September.
Technical Support duties will include:
* Application support and application maintenance, resolving 2nd and 3rd line technical issues from end users in various locations.
* Work on a ticket-based support system.
* Provide expertise on applications to 1st level support persons.
* Help improve business by proposing, evaluating and bringing in new applications and tools.
* Assist with database structural changes (SQL).
* Attend operational and other meetings related to application support.
* Any other duties as required.
You will have:
* At least 3 years of experience supporting technical environments (application support, service desk, technical support etc).
* Expertise with the Windows environment and good knowledge of all or some of the following: SQL Server, Linux, O, Sharepoint & Sharepoint Online, PowerShell, MS Azure, .Net applications.
* SQL reporting services experience.
* Familiarity with ITIL processes.
* Excellent English language skills.
* Ability to work and live in Valencia for the contract duration, working as a local freelancer (autonomo).
