The HR Business Partner plays a crucial role in supporting Fulfillment Center Operations teams by collaborating with senior stakeholders on site-related business and people initiatives.
Company Culture Champion:
Applies an understanding of Leadership Principles and values when consulting with employees and managers, including performance improvement, coaching plans, team meetings, employee development, and promotions.
Works with client groups or sites to develop a culture that aligns with the company's values and goals.
Organization Development & Planning:
Understands key business objectives and priorities, applying them to core HR responsibilities to prioritize work and set goals.
Provides input into org design discussions, focusing on talent for succession planning, attrition risks, and other key areas.
Develops and implements communication plans for organizational changes.
Organization Health:
Conducts diagnostics to identify trends and environmental ER or workplace issues, communicating findings and recommendations.
Partners with management to drive positive ER outcomes, negotiate labor agreements, and address ER or labor changes.
Proactively monitors and acts to address workplace environment, employee engagement, or retention issues.
Investigates employee relations issues in consultation with management, providing support and guidance.
Supports the rollout of compliance initiatives, understands local employment law and legislation changes, and provides counsel to the business.
Leads client group or site engagement activities and audits to monitor org health and engage with employees/associates.
Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition:
Partners with Recruiting and Agencies to coach managers on the recruiting process, interpreting hiring data and providing recommendations for sourcing strategies.
Understands local market staffing needs and participates in interview loops and debriefs.
Approves offers, transfers, and compensation exceptions in the client org.
Engages with managers to ensure launch plans are created and participates in launch plans as needed.
Monitors vendor and 3rd party worker relationships for co-employment risk.
Collaborates with staffing and/or recruiting partners to maintain healthy candidate/staffing funnels.
May manage vendor relationships, including facilities temp agencies, maintenance, drivers, and security.
Talent Management & Development:
Facilitates or assists multiple department or group level talent discussions, driving identification and management of forward-looking promotions for managers.
Coaches and develops business, site(s) leadership on performance and talent management with the business teams.
Identifies participants for programs and manages internal communications related to training and development.
Partners with leaders on talent development initiatives.
HR Operations:
Analyzes data and shares insights with leaders, training and/or consulting with managers on employee life cycle issues.
Utilizes Connections data to provide ideas and strategies for improving engagement and manager capability.
Speaks to attendance, attrition, and staffing trends, identifying gaps in policy and services.
Makes recommendations for system process improvement and drafts policies for the site.
Rolls out new policy changes/services, ensuring business adoption and understanding of changes.
May recommend exceptions to policies with input from senior leaders or HR management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A completed bachelor's degree.
5+ years of previous Human Resources Business Partner experience.
5+ years of experience working in operations environments / associates.
5+ years of experience in payroll processes.
5+ years managing Employee/Labor Relations.
5+ years' experience in Talent Management.
Advanced English and Spanish language proficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A completed bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Master's Degree or MBA in HR.
Experience within Logistics and Distribution or Manufacture Industry.
3+ years of experience working with unions.
Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking program metrics, including return on investment.
