The Anything Group is a full-service software, digital marketing, branding, website development and reputation agency, with a full in-house production and filming studio. TAG performs Emotive Engagement and Connection Marketing services across the hospitality, luxury brands and products, fashion, retail and streamed media worlds.
We're looking for a full-time Head of Software. This role involves leading a cross-functional team (DevOps, Backend, Frontend) with mentorship and technical guidance.
Key responsibilities:
* Technical Leadership:
Team Supervision and Support:
Coordinate and lead the development team, which includes DevOps, Backend, and Front End specialists. Guide the DevOps and Backend specialists in best development practices. Act as a key point of reference for the Front End specialists on matters related to integration between backend and frontend, ensuring seamless collaboration across disciplines. Provide ongoing mentorship and support to team members, assisting them in resolving technical challenges.
* Backend Development and DevOps:
Active Development:
Continue to fulfill backend development responsibilities, including coding, code review, and implementing technical solutions that meet project requirements as a first face until the team expands and grows.
DevOps Practices:
Implement and maintain DevOps practices, overseeing the entire lifecycle from planning to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
* Project Management with the CTO:
Planning and Prioritization:
Collaborate closely with the CTO to plan and prioritize team objectives, ensuring that projects align with the company’s goals and are completed on time.
Task Allocation:
Work together with the CTO to coordinate and distribute tasks within the team, ensuring an effective balance of responsibilities among team members.
Reporting and Communication:
Keep the CTO informed about project progress, identifying and addressing any obstacles that could impact timely delivery.
