EMEA Claims Operations MI / BI team (Management Information & Business Intelligence) is responsible for providing deep data insights to COG, regional EMEA Leadership, and local claims clusters / countries heads and SLT.
This includes claims trend analytics with predefined KPIs, trend developments over time, and sophisticated predictive trend forecasts & staffing models with management recommendations.
Basic EMEA Claims data generation is managed by an offshore team. However, advanced data interpretation & KPI trend analysis are conducted onshore, close to Regional Claims Managers, Claims Country Managers, and Line of Business heads.
All intellectual property from the MI / BI team must be documented properly, with a solid backup plan to avoid dependency on a single individual. Planning and workload management are essential to ensure skills and knowledge are always available for ad hoc requests.
Responsibilities :
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be accountable for data analytics & advanced data generation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and effective communication/escalation to stakeholders.
Establish a strong understanding of & connection with IT data sources to generate, validate, & discuss data sources and their validity. Build sustainable relationships with Claims Handlers, IT, Data, actuarial departments, and other internal teams in Chubb EMEA.
Monitor the delivery/performance of MI / BI activities, ensuring processes are well-understood and maintained.
Engage operationally in ongoing projects critical to MI / BI or where data interpretation and generation are required.
Focus on Chubb’s Claims Craftsmanship modules & relevant MI / BI training on systems, data manipulation, and digital innovations.
Drive continuous self-education to stay current and ensure sustainable knowledge growth.
Work within Chubb’s ethical and service standards, adhering to local WFH regulations.
Demonstrate flexibility, agility, teamwork, lean & Six Sigma mindset, and long-term business thinking.
Requirements
Strong interpersonal skills to understand strategic business needs, prioritize tasks, and escalate when support is needed.
Experience with data/reporting solutions using enterprise systems like IBM Netezza, SQL Server, IBM DB2.
Knowledge of reporting tools such as Qliksense, Qlikview, Cognos BI, SSRS, or similar.
Solid SQL querying & scripting skills; fluency is preferred.
Understanding of data lake/data warehouse concepts and design principles.
Professional experience :
Fluent in English; additional languages like German, French, or Spanish are preferred.
University degree in Business, Mathematics, or Statistics, or equivalent qualifications in an international/global context.
Strong sense of execution & accountability, with the ability to explain complex matters simply to stakeholders.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in Insurance or similar industry.
Regional cultural awareness and ability to drive insights and trends.
Moderate travel within EMEA may be required, but not mandatory due to WFH setup.
