Nature and aim of the position_
Global Blue Payments is a leading provider of payment card processing services, foreign exchange solutions and omnichannel payment gateway for both the retail and the hospitality industry.
At Global Blue Payments we enable acquirers/PSPs with technology they need to be competitive on the integrated payment market. Our goal is to solidify our value to the acquiring/PSP partners developing relationships with merchants and channels.
To achieve our goals and to continue to be a leading integration partner for hospitality merchants, we need to further integrate our payments platform with new property management systems, travel booking, and POS systems. To support this, we are expanding our channel management team recruiting a Business Development Manager for the Middle East region.
The holder of the position will support our commercial activities by reinforcing Global Blue value proposition and relevancy to the acquirer/PSPs:
- Provide variety of integrations with relevant channel vendors that require payment solutions - such as but not limited to POS/PMS.
- Developing relationship with regional merchants from the hospitality industry (Hotel, F&B;, Travel).
- Main duties and responsibilities_
- Manage and develop relationships with channel vendors to enhance company awareness in the industry and generate inbound interest from merchants.
- Collect and assess channel integration needs from commercial teams.
- Coordinate all steps of integration projects, including assessment, scoping, contracting, development, piloting, and release.
- Manage and cultivate regional relationships with merchants, gathering product needs and identifying threats and opportunities following the rollout of global accreditation contracts.
- Gather and centralize reporting on in-country merchant discussions from commercial teams to ensure regional and global alignment.
- Source, assess, and participate in industry-specific events and tradeshows to increase company awareness and expand the network.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to agree on and implement launch plans for new product initiatives, covering marketing, sales, support, training, and communication plans.
- Provide weekly updates and reporting to the direct line manager and leadership.

- The holder of the position reports to the Head of General Business Development - Hospitality & Channels.
- The holder of the position collaborates closely with a variety of stakeholders from commercial, product, pre-sales, legal, to technical teams.
- Preferable skills and competencies_
- 5-8 years in a business development position and significant experience in two or more of the following fields: Channel Sales, Merchant Account Management, Partnerships, Payments, Retail tech, Hotel tech, F&B; tech.
- Be proactive, self-driven, and naturally open to seeking new opportunities.
- Experienced with working in an international environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to various levels of management.
- Curiosity to identify/map prospect decision making process and key personas.
- Demonstrated perseverance in negotiating complex deals with long sales cycles.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Openness to occasionally attending meetings early in the morning or late at night due to the global nature of the role.
- Ability to travel within the EMEA as required, without visa restrictions.
- Education and qualifications_
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- English proficiency and Arabic Proficiency Native speaker.
- Additional language at professional level - A strong plus.
