King's Infant School

King’s Infant School is located in the Chamartín district in the north of Madrid.

Pupils follow the English National Curriculum and are taught by experienced, caring British qualified staff. In the Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), children have direct access to their Outside Learning Environment. In Key Stage 1, we embrace Madrid's resources and maintain good links with museums and parks in the city center.

At the end of Key Stage 1, children transfer to either King’s College Soto de Viñuelas or King’s College La Moraleja. There is a strong transition program, and children adapt quickly into Year 3.

There is an Induction English Programme for children entering Year 1 and Year 2 with limited English. Spanish is taught in both Year 1 and Year 2, and an additional Spanish Club is available for international children entering the school.

Music, Drama, and P.E. are integral parts of the daily curriculum. Extracurricular classes include Piano and Violin lessons, a Music initiation group, and after-school Ballet and Judo classes.

Each class is named after an animal, and the school has a House System. Older children in Year 2 can become House Captains, taking responsibility in school life. House points are awarded for good behavior, responsibility, friendship, and effort. The school promotes respect, friendship, and effort, celebrating achievements through certificates, stickers, and assemblies.

Our goal is to provide educational experiences that foster a positive attitude towards learning, creating a welcoming environment where children feel at home. We encourage self-discipline, responsibility, and respect, with classroom displays of children's art and literacy-related information to support their development.
