ACREW is hiring an Event Coordinator for its International Crew facing Events.
ACREW is a Superyacht Marketing & Consultancy company with offices in the The Netherlands and Spain. At ACREW we aim to deliver high-standard worldwide events which introduce professional development opportunities to superyacht Captains and Crew. Captains and Crew are invited to attend free workshops, discussion groups, networking and social activities at our Events in Yacht Shows, Shipyards and Marinas in Europe and the Caribbean. ACREW also organises the famous Annual Crew Awards and the Superyacht Chef Competition.
Additionally, ACREW offers high-end engagement and reputation consultancy services to organisations active in the superyacht sector.
**Job Role**:
We are looking for an Event Coordinator to help organise our Events. You will be responsible for every aspect of an event, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards. You will work closely with the Event Manager.
The goal is to organise unforgettable Superyacht Crew Events that will ensure the learning, knowledge sharing and entertainment of Superyacht Crew and facilitate the completion of our business objectives and those of our partners.
**Responsibilities**:
- Understand the requirements for each event
- Plan events with attention to financial and time constraints
- Book venues and schedule facilitators
- Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination ofquality and cost - negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favourable terms, which couldbe in-kind arrangements
- Hire day workers if required
- Manage event operations
- Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
- Evaluate event’s success**Requirements and skills**:
- Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or affinity with organising events or activities
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent vendor management skills
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Well-organised with multi-tasking skills
- Able to handle stress and remain calm
- Problem-solving ability
- Degree in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred
- Fluent in English and preferably Spanish or French
Pay: From 2,000.00€ per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- 07002 Palma, Illes Balears: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
