Job Description
Mission:
Implement the assigned parts of the project within his/her unit/department, in keeping with established procedure, facilitating compliance with established deadlines and coordinating the necessary resources (human and material), so as to contribute to significantly improving the project.
They are responsible for implementing and monitoring mechanisms for cost control and quality control for the services provided by external suppliers in operational management of the buildings, and services for employees. The duties include: tracking of conformity of services provided by external suppliers with the contract; applying penalties set forth in the SLA in contracts when needed; advising on re-negotiation and renewal of contracts in force; drawing up and distributing of a reporting system for activity control.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and maintain the project budget.
Ensure alignment of budget with project scope and schedule.
Cost Monitoring & Reporting
Track actual costs against budgeted costs.
Prepare regular cost reports and variance analyses for management.
Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
Forecasting
Provide accurate cost forecasts based on current progress and trends.
Update forecasts to reflect changes in scope, schedule, or market conditions.
Change Management
Evaluate cost impact of design changes, scope variations, and claims.
Ensure proper documentation and approval of changes.
Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor contingency usage and recommend adjustments.
Coordination
Work closely with project managers, procurement, and finance teams.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to validate cost data.
Compliance
Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
Required Skills & Competencies
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years in cost control for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Primavera, SAP, or similar), MS Excel, and project management tools.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, communication, and problem‐solving skills.
