In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair category for Bioiberica. You will ensure full utilization of our global buying power, category strategies, and that contracts are completely implemented while meeting all Business Unit-specific requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with the Global Category Manager CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair, the Head of Procurement, and other Global Category Managers to implement tools, standards, policies, and processes.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement Bioiberica and with a dotted line to the Global Category Manager CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair, you will collaborate with other Global Category and Procurement Managers across five continents, leveraging each other's strengths to drive collective success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implement a sourcing and contracting approach aligned with key stakeholder requirements.
2. Implement category strategy in line with global strategies, including standards, guidelines, processes, and policies tailored to Business Unit requirements.
3. Develop and execute strategies that ensure cost-effective security of supply, understanding supplier markets, dynamics, fundamentals, and drivers.
4. Negotiate competitive conditions with suppliers and ensure all relevant Business Units fully utilize these conditions.
5. Support local teams in executing the global strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, negotiation, supplier relations management, and procurement knowledge development.
6. Create and implement a reporting structure to manage category performance and compliance.
7. Drive sourcing and contracting projects, ensuring their implementation and adherence across Business Units.
8. Manage material qualification processes to assess new sources of materials and equipment, mitigating risks to customers and the wider business.
9. Maintain ongoing supplier relationship management, including setting expectations, monitoring, reviewing, and fostering supplier investment, technological development, and resource utilization for innovation and cost savings.
About You
1. Degree qualified in an appropriate field, with postgraduate or professional qualifications such as CIPS preferred.
2. 4-5 years of experience in strategic category management within CAPEX, Maintenance, and Repairs, preferably across multiple countries.
3. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with significant influencing and negotiation capabilities.
4. Experience in direct and indirect procurement, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and compliance management.
