Es esencial asegurarse de que cumple con los requisitos como solicitante para este puesto; por favor, lea atentamente la información a continuación.Position: Contracts and Financial SpecialistLocation: MadridExperience: Experience in contract and budget management (ideally in pharma/biotech or CRO environment).Global ResponsibilityThe Contracts and Financial Specialist is responsible for supporting the R&D project teams in the end‐to‐end management of contracts and budgets with CROs and other external vendors. This role ensures accurate scoping, timely contract execution, rigorous budget tracking and proactive follow‐up on timelines and invoices, working closely with Project Leaders, Preclinical Project Manager, Toxicologist, DMPK/PD Scientist and internal finance/procurement.Specific ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review and coordinate work orders, service agreements and contract amendments with CROs and other vendors, ensuring alignment between scientific/operational scope, timelines and budget.Translate study and project plans into clear financial scopes (units, rates, milestones), in collaboration with scientific and project leads.Track budgets and actuals for preclinical and clinical projects, monitor variances, and flag risks or deviations early with proposed mitigation options.Maintain an up‐to‐date overview of all ongoing contracts, milestones, payment schedules and expiry dates, ensuring timely renewals or closures.Coordinate the internal contract review and approval workflow (project team, legal, finance, procurement), ensuring smooth and timely execution.Follow up with CROs and vendors on deliverables and milestones linked to payments, verifying that invoices match contractual terms and services performed.Generate regular financial and contractual status reports for project teams and senior management (e.g. committed vs spent, forecast to completion).Support RFP processes (request for proposals) by preparing comparison tables, budget analyses and recommendations from a financial and contractual standpoint.Contribute to continuous improvement of tools and processes for budget tracking, contract management and vendor follow‐up within the R&D organization.Requirements and personal skillsEducation: Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Life Sciences or related field, withLanguages: Fluent Spanish and English, knowledge of other languages will be an asset.Experience (years/area): Experience in contract and budget management (ideally in pharma/biotech or CRO environment).Personal skills: Highly autonomous, detail‐oriented executor with strong follow‐up, timeline discipline and numerical skills, able to manage multiple projects and vendors while communicating effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.Our benefits!Permanent contractFlexible scheduleHealth insurance coverageProfessional development opportunitiesSelection processInitial contact through phone or email.1-2 interviews conducted virtually or in person.Continuous communication about the selection status.Not the right fit?Follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram for more exciting career opportunities at INSUD PHARMA.
