Edged Spain has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Commissioning amp; Transition Manager. In this position, you will work directly with the Regional Operations Director, Regional Project Director, and Data Center Site Managers, being responsible for the planning and coordination of the commissioning for large-scale greenfield data centers and retrofit live data centers. We are looking for someone who identifies, coordinates and drives improvements in inbound safety, quality, and productivity, working with the Operations Management teams to continuously improve the functionality and the safety in the Data Centers.The Regional Commissioning amp; Transition Manager needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. Are you ready to join the journey?Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Project ManagementCreates and implements multi-facility, standards-based commissioning plans and schedulesProvides input and suggestions on new and existing Critical Environment ProgramsCommunicates effectively with both business operations and construction managersResponsible for regional, short- to medium-term pipeline management to inform resource planningLiaises with internal construction managers and external general contractors on the planning and execution of all commissioning activitiesMaintains commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projectsDevelops electrical and mechanical Functional Performance Test procedures and Factory Acceptance Test ProceduresDesign PhaseDevelop and review the Owner’s Project Requirements and Commissioning DocumentsWrite Commissioning Plans and ProgramsLead stakeholder meetings and kick-offsCreate project directories and align commissioning timelinesConstruction PhaseManage Level 2–4 Commissioning Workshops and testingAttend and report on Factory amp; Field Witness TestsDraft test scripts, checklists, and observation reportsConduct weekly commissioning and client meetingsTrack progress and keep commissioning documentation up to dateAcceptance PhaseLead Level 4–5 Commissioning effortsAnalyze and present commissioning data to stakeholdersPrepare detailed reports and oversee Integrated Systems TestingHandover PhaseCoordinate training for operational teamsReview Oamp;M documentationFacilitate “Lessons Learn” workshopsDeliver the Final Commissioning ReportProcess ManagementFollows all commissioning processes and escalates any potential improvements to senior managementDevelop standardized schedules and commissioning scopes based on specific customer contract requirementsReportingResponsible for all internal and external progress reporting for all projects during the commissioning phase, in coordination with the construction project managerPrepares commissioning test procedures and reportsWrites comprehensive reports that include recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, lists of deficiencies, equipment operation, and maintenance manualsResponsible for collating historical data regarding specific equipment startup and testing challenges and reporting back to all Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment vendorsProvides input into data analytics/metrics reportingVendor ManagementUndertakes quarterly business reviews with vendors to review performance and ways to improve interactionResponsible for the production of project-specific commissioning RFPs and responding to bid clarificationsResponsible for leveling and recommending commissioning consultant awardLeads and manages external resourcesSchedules and directs periodic commissioning meetingsDetermines vendor KPIs and conducts lessons learned reviewsSkills amp; RequirementsEducation / ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of relevant Commissioning experience within a data center or industrial environmentsDemonstrable ability to implement new frameworks, policies, and proceduresProven track record of managing and leading diverse multi-country teamsSpecific Skills / AbilitiesAble to effectively lead and manage a teamUsed to operating at all levels of the organizationGreat at communication and influencing skillsFluent in EnglishAbout Edged SpainEdged Spain is creating a global network of carbon-neutral, zero-water edge infrastructure for data center and microgrid projects.
